Description

Welcome to the early stages of DreamWalker!

The world of DreamWalker is set in a sprawling coastal city, with each district offering its own unique character and charm. As the player, you’ve just transferred to the massive university district to pursue your dream studies. But as the name suggests, in DreamWalker, the line between dreams and reality is often blurred, with dreams sometimes feeling more vivid and real than the waking world itself.

In DreamWalker, gameplay is divided into two distinct phases. During the day, time flows normally, allowing you to explore the vast city and interact with complex NPCs.

The goal on this phase is to craft a lively city, with NPCs that are able to react better to your actions. I will create a relationship system so you can really progress your way through multiple stages of NPC interaction (from stranger to lovers). You will also have to deal with a district reputation that will affect your potential relationships with the district's NPCs. Made a walk of shame back home with wet pants? If some NPC saw you, that may affect how others will talk to you afterward. This is also a way to naturally, gently push you toward wearing diapers if you have controls issues. What I get from a lot of feedback is that the act of wearing diaper shouldn’t be a punishment (except in some very specific case where you are actively seeking it), but rather something that feel natural and obvious. The game’s role should be to push you organically toward it, but the player agency must be kept as intact as possible.

Once your character is asleep, they will be transported to a dreamy counterpart of the city, more colorful and twisted in a fun way. As the day city is divided into districts, their natural counterparts during the night will be the levels to play in.

The idea here is to use the “dream” to provide an interesting playground for the levels and make these less grounded. These levels will take a lot of inspiration from old-school 3D platformers: short, packed, with a theme park feel. I absolutely want it to be a short break, refreshing, and not a sluggish part. I’m drawing a lot of inspiration from cartoony, lighthearted platformers like Banjo-Kazooie or A Hat in Time, so if you know these games, you might get what I’m trying to achieve. I think this childish, carefree style fits very well a game about diaper. This platformer approach will also be the perfect play area for a lot of fun moves and skills, like bouncing on diapers or stuff like that. 

As I know that some peoples, and I can respect that, don't seek this kind of gameplay, the game will also offer a sandbox mode, without the platformer aspect.

Note: As this is still very early prototype stage, a lot of the details are subject to change.

Current Status

DreamWalker is currently in Prototyping Phase:

  • Core mechanics for both the day and night gameplay are being developed.
  • Early systems for NPC interaction, class schedules, and dream world transitions are being tested and refined.
  • High quality, fully customizable 3D model for the player is being build.
  • Continence system and it's influence over the gameplay is being refined.

In The Pacifier Project, I took a fast-paced approach with monthly releases, but I learned that rushing often came at the cost of quality. This time, I’m taking the necessary time in the prototype phase to ensure a more polished and well-rounded experience, which I believe will make a big difference in the final game.

As development progresses, I’ll be sharing:

  • Gameplay screenshots and videos showcasing both the day and night phases
  • Developer logs and updates on progress
  • A playable public demo (No ETA yet)

can i have access to the demo

are there going to be NPCs in this game who have an ABDL fetish or maybe just an interest in DL? And if so will said NPCs try to convince your characters to try out diapers as they get to know your character. I liked the idea  of the Domme bar in the last game but it'd be cool if there was like a way to get an invite instead of sneaking in. Like maybe a mommy dommy takes an interest in the mc and tries to get the MC interested and slowly ease the MC into it? Or maybe a neighbor who has a thing for DL and either the MC finds out at one point and gets curious or The NPC brings up the topic once there's a bit more trust between them? I think you could come up with some fun things with these kinds of NPCs.

Is the game going to be free?

Yes

. However you can pay 5$ on his subscribestar to get early access to new updates before they become free.  But it is currently still dosent have a demo yet.

That’s still very much in the plans.If anything changes, I’ll make sure to communicate it clearly. Until then, you can trust that what I’ve talked about is still on track.

sounds really good  enjoyed pacifier project as well and i am curious and eager to try this out if its out :) 

FIRST and im excited to play this game since well i enjoyed the pacifier project thoough there was some clipping problems where id clip out of the floor of the map near the ravenbrook bus but seeiong this is gonna be a bigger project than the pacifier project i am looking forward to the release of the demos and  of course i hope theres gonna be lotsa stuff to explore maybe even a furry character idk but thats what im looking forward to in this new game you are making redsparrow
