Regarding the next release


Hey everyone,

No WIP this week because there was no real progress. It was mostly polishing things, then releasing the new update to patreon, then taking care of the unavoidable bugs that ensue with every release.

This is the first major release since the start-up of the project, and the first completed millestone with the completion of the first full level. It's still quite short, but at least now the game have playable content that can extend beyond a few minutes. While i'd love to rush head-first into the content design for the second level and more content, I'm contempling the choice of pausing it for a moment and take care of QoL stuffs first and foremost : retrofitting the dialogs with more states, polishs some features like the food system and the money system, and also adding a playable boy character. This is still quite significant because this is a time investment that I won't commit immediately to content, so I'm currently polling patrons to have some insight for the near-future. Either way, I'll be back at work this week for some small improvements!

So, the first major release also mean I'll be releasing it for free here, as stated. This release will occur in a few days, Saturday 18th. Why not now, will you ask, since everything is ready?

Well, this is quite straightforward : with every release, came the risk of a game-breaking bug that I have not yet discovered that arise to some people. So, I want to be able to monitor the next few days after release so I can make any adjustment if needed if any bug like this happen. And since I have a few days-off after the 18, it's the perfect moment for me to make a global free release.

 I will probably also skip the next week WIP since I won't do anything significant that will warrant an update. So see you in a few days for the update release !
