[Devlog] Current WIP 28


Hey everyone,

Today, I want to make a really quick shot at the new level I'm building. While the city lab might be quite mysterious, the next action place will instead focus on the hospital. I really wanted to make a big level just close to a place that you can come by regulary, so you feel like you're in a familiar setting but with a twist.


It took me a lot of work to finish with the general layout. On the above pic, you can see how it's a massive area, and how it compare to the existing hospital (far left) and the haunted house (above).

Of course, there's a lot of things that happen in that hospital that warrant a size this big.  I tried to mix some stuff that you expect to see in an hospital, with some other, more surprising areas. After all, this is a game, and not everything have to be perfectly realistic, right? But don't worry, you're still gonna visit the pediatric ward ! 


While the haunted house was more about small corridors and maze, the hospital will be more open and feature more open spaces. I will also bump the level a bit in term of story-telling so it's more involved.

I also want to improve  the light work. I feel like this can change the feeling of a game, and for now I think I don't do a very good job on that side. I really want some parts to feel special with some light atmosphere, especially a certain abandonned ward... We'll talk about it soon ! 

And of couse, I prepared some clothes to go with the level.


All in all, it's a really big and complex level,but I hope the wait will be worth it !
